Happy Birthday Harry Caray!
I have a funny Harry Caray story to share.
Many years ago, just after Harry had left as the White Sox broadcaster but hadn't signed with the Cubs yet, my friends and I met Harry and his wife.
A large group of us were on Rush Street on a weekend. We had a mix of Cubs and White Sox fans there, including some members of the Sox Supporters. (Are they still around?)
We weren't bar-hopping, just seeing what was to be seen there...and we spotted Harry and his wife.
All the Cub fan girls in the group said Hi to him and kissed him.
A week later he signed with the Cubs as their announcer. Imagine that!
